French Directoire Fruitwood Inlaid Five Drawer Desk, circa 1790. Pull out writing surface inset with green leather above the central drawer; five false drawers to the verso. Late 18th century/early 19th century. {Approximate dimensions: 32 high x 51 wide x 30 inches deep.}. Condition: Severe warping to the top. Some veneer and trim loss with some pieces available. Veneer fill-in repairs evident, as well as apparent fill-in repairs from insect damage.
